Some residents may have noticed that a large oak tree was felled last week on the Church Lane Nursery site.
The tree was not subject to a Tree Protection Order and we have checked with Mole Valley’s Tree Officer who confirms that the felling was undertaken following a survey which identified a root fungus which made it a hazard.
Based on its size the tree was probably about 200 years old.
