Park Lane (D2628) Ashtead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No. 2) 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Park Lane (D2628) Ashtead which extends from the northwestern property boundary line of “Berry Hill” to the northwestern property boundary line of “Orchard House” and; (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Park Lane (D2628) Ashtead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” insofar.

Alternative Route – Farm Lane (C56), Headley Road (C56), Tilley Lane (C56), Clay Lane (C56), Church Lane (C56), Tot Hill (B2033), Leech Lane(B2033), Mill Way (B2033), Reigate Road (B2033), By-Pass Road (A24), Leatherhead Road (A24), The Street (A24) and Park Lane (D2628) or; Chalk Lane (X15245), Oaken Coppice (D2627) and Park Lane (D2628).

This Order is required to allow Road Traffic Management Ltd to carry out installing new telegraph poles, which is anticipated to be completed within 4 days, between 9:30am and 2:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 31 January 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
